Our goal is to catalyze innovation efforts in the region. But we can’t make this happen without thoughtful discussion and a lot of community input. That’s why we host a signature event each fall: the Raleigh Innovation Summit.
On September 10, 2014, we took a collective look at the current landscape of entrepreneurship and innovation in our region. We celebrated our successes, heard from notable speakers, and broke out into small groups in locations throughout downtown Raleigh to generate tons of ideas for how to make our community stronger.

To kick off the Summit in 2014, we’re tried something new: a Startup Crawl
The first-ever Innovate Raleigh Startup Crawl was held on Tuesday, September 9th, from 6-9pm. View the full map of venues and all the details by clicking here.
The purpose of the Startup Crawl is to showcase the innovative, entrepreneurial brand and culture of downtown Raleigh. Similar to a First Friday Art Walk, participants can embark on a self-guided tour of spaces in the Warehouse District and around Fayetteville Street. HQ Raleigh, American Underground, and The Stockroom will act as “hubs” where attendees can pick up maps and see a variety of companies all in one place.
In order to achieve our goals, we need community engagement. That’s why, in 2015, we’re planning more opportunities for discussion and collaboration beyond our events in September. We’ll have action teams focused on the five elements of our entrepreneurial ecosystem (education, capital, open community culture, resources, and corporate engagement).
